Why/When did you start your YouTube Channel?

I was an aspiring makeup artist and loved watching beauty videos to learn better techniques. I also did makeup on the side and for my friends but at the time I was working full time and going to school full time. And with also being a mom, I had no time to travel and set up to do makeup so I started making how to videos. Making these videos also put myself out into the world to accept myself, at the time I wouldn’t leave the house without makeup, so doing a makeup tutorial with a bare face was very different for me. I eventually grew to love and accept myself without makeup and it’s been an empowering journey.

How have you changed since starting YouTube?

I think I’ve definitely grown a thicker skin and grown personally since starting my channel.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell myself to embrace your weirdness and show it to the world.

What are your Top 5 can’t live without products?

I can’t live without my Tarte Shape Tape concealer, Iconic lashes, my Benefit Precisely My Brow pencil, Esteé Lauder Double Wear foundation, and avocados.

How would you classify your personal style?

My personal style is feminine edgy.

Why a clothing line?

My passion for creating started at a young age when I learned how to cut my first doll shape out of paper, and then draw my first outfit. I was always fascinated with the way my mom put-on her makeup and used color on her face. So I started to use her mascara and lipstick on my paper dolls everyday and doodle outfits for them years after. This infatuation and love for creating, and eventually teaching, inspiring and helping people, led me to creating a YouTube beauty and fashion channel. Having this platform has given me the opportunity to make my years of designing on paper become a reality. and create my own clothing line.

How did you come up with the name, Ellise & Co?

My mother and I have always loved the sound of the name and had said if she had another girl that would be her name and then my uncle had a baby girl and let us name her middle name and we both named her Ellise. Now she’s 18 years old and is like my little bestie.

What’s next?

My next business endeavor is another part of my heart and soul which is creating my own cosmetic line. Which I’m currently working on.
