We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, skin care is the most important step of any morning and/or night routine! Do you struggle with acne, dry patches, oily skin, or fine lines and wrinkles? Chances are, you are affected by at least one of those things. Most of the time, these problems are genetic, caused by your environment, or your diet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat them! Geri of LeafTV has compiled a list of her 10 skin care hacks that are sure to improve the look and feel of your skin!

1. Wash your face every night!

We cannot stress this one enough! Not only is it important to remove all the makeup, but throughout the day your skin builds up excess oil and dirt, that can cause breakouts if not removed. If you are someone that struggles to follow this tip, keep some makeup wipes next to your bed!

2. Keep your hands off your face! 

This can be a tough one for a lot of us. However, the pores on your face are already producing oil throughout the day, and by touching your face you are adding even more oil and germs!

3. Eat for your skin!

I know I might sound like your mother here, but always eat your greens! There are so many vitamins and nutrients in green veggies, your skin will thank you!

4. Drink tons of water!

This is an all around health tip. Not only is drinking enough water essential for digestion, but it is one of the best things you can do for your skin, and your hair!

5. Apply ice cubes to pimples!

This one might sound kind of strange, but applying ice to a pimple is the best way to reduce the redness and inflammation!

6. Clean your cellphone regularly!

This one is super important, and the one that most of us forget! Your cellphone collects large amounts of dirt and germs, from your fingers and your face, so always remember to clean the screen!

7. Apply your products in the correct order!

In order to get the most out of your skin care products always apply them in the correct order. Remember this tip, and you will be golden: apply thinnest to thickest! For example: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer/cream.

8. Wear SPF every single day!

Always look for a moisturizer that includes SPF! This is one of the easiest tips to follow, and one of the most beneficial for your skin!

9. Clean your makeup brushes regularly!
